A FREE event providing an insight into the renewable energy solutions available to county businesses is being held next month.

The event is being held on May 17 at Worcestershire County Cricket Club and provides an insight into the wide range energy solutions, and the support and funding available to install them. It is being organised by the Low Carbon Opportunities Programme (LoCOP) which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is one of a suite of business support programmes run by Worcestershire County Council.

The event runs from 8am until 11.30am, with renewable energy expert Helen Troup, from sustainability consultancy Carbon Smart, speaking at the event at around 9am. There will also be the chance to chat to local installers of renewable energy.

Ruth Corrall, from LoCOP, said: "Worcestershire businesses can benefit from free support and grants to install solar panels, biomass boilers, ground source heat pumps and much more. We want businesses to understand how easy it is to improve their environmental performance, reduce their energy bills and secure their own energy supply by installing renewables,”
