A WORCESTER energy consultancy firm has received a prestigious accolade.

E2 Services, based at Ball Mill Top business park in Hallow, has received the award for best energy solution at this year’s The Energy Live Consultancy Awards.

Held at London’s Honourable Artillery Company at the end of June, TELCA 2018 was attended by more than 450 guests representing the most respected energy consultancies in the country.

E2 specialises in supporting its clients reduce their utilities costs, through reducing their price and usage.

E2 was shortlisted for its Demand Side Response (DSR), which sees the firm using the site building management system to mitigate the cost of non-commodity charges on electricity invoices.

And the firm's staff celebrated at the ceremony when they heard E2 had overcome tough competition from other national firms, to win the award.

The firm says DSR has delivered significant energy savings at sites that have already engaged heavily with energy management in previous years.

Mike Stafford, energy services director, said “We’re delighted to be picking up the award for our DSR work with Northwood Investors.

"With DSR, a huge amount of expertise comes together across a range of professional specialisms to deliver truly impressive energy savings, even at sites where demand reduction has already been prioritised for years.

"This is work that the whole team at E2 can be immensely proud of, and I’m sure that the recognition we’re getting for it here will further enhance our reputation for delivering powerful cost and carbon reductions.”

Mr Stafford added the award will take pride of place in E2’s office.

It is not the first award win for the firm, having previously won an accolade in The Energy Awards in 2014.

Among E2's noteworthy clients are Microsoft and The Savoy.
