WORCESTERSHIRE-based Apache Quads is on the move to larger premises following a highly successful year.

The importer and distributor of quad bikes, ATVs and trailers has moved to a new larger warehouse following a 23 per cent year-on-year growth in sales of its range of adult road-legal quad bikes and an 18 per cent rise in sales of its trailer range.

The new distribution centre at Hoo Farm Industrial Est-ate, Kidderminster, is intended to bring the quad bike sales and parts business under one roof and will enable the firm to maximise efficiency and to further increase its product range.

The firm has a second secure storage warehouse in Coventry which is also due to expand later this year.

Apache has also recruited a further three full-time staff for driving and assembly duties.

Apache Trailers relaunched last summer and has also proved very popular.

The firm is now supplying more than 100 dealers across the UK with its range of mesh and rigid-sided road trailers, as well as trailers to tow behind a quad or lawn mower, and most recently a motorcycle carrying trailer.

Just over 12 months ago, Apache launched its online quad parts shop, aptly called Easy Quad Parts and this business will also be moved to the new industrial estate at Kidderminster.

The online shop now sells a wide range of ATV, quad and trailer parts and accessories and now has a worldwide customer base.

Richard Latham, Apache managing director, said: “This move will help us expand the business further and will bring key areas of the business into one central distribution centre.

“The business as a whole is certainly bucking the trend and we are enjoying buoyant sales across all product groups but especially the adult road-legal quad bikes which are proving more popular than ever.

“The more quads are seen on the roads, the more they are a ‘must have’.”

Apache has been expanding its business network in the UK and worldwide. It now has more than 100 outlets in the UK, with dealerships in the Netherlands, France, Greece, Slovenia, Barbados and has recently appointed a new dealer in Poland.

The company also stocks a range of utility quad bikes, buggies, trailers and parts.
