A FAITHFUL German Shepherd-cross described as a 'wonderful, bright, smiley boy' is looking for a fresh start.

Django needs a home without children, and ideally with experienced owners who can give him a lot of love and exercise as he's a big, strong chap.

He is three-and-a-half years old and currently in the care of the Worcester and Mid-Worcestershire Branch of the RSPCA .

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Django is full of beans on walks and loves nothing more than running around, chasing and fetching a ball, stick, or squeaky toy until he's tired out. He loves to play tug with a rope and has a passion for old footballs!

"Django needs brushing out when he's moulting but doesn’t shed much fur outside of moulting. He will repay you with lots of affection.

"He's got a fabulously expressive face and handsome features. He doesn’t bark very much, although he will let you know if someone knocks on the door, and ‘speaks’ on command."

Django has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flead and wormed. He is fully house trained and copes well with being on his own for a few hours.

Mrs Haynes said: "Django is a very intelligent, easily trainable boy who is eager to learn new games and responses to commands.

He already knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘wait’, ‘lie down’, ‘speak’, ‘lie on your bed’ and ‘come’ commands, and will give a paw, and then the other paw.

"He will even play dead if you say ‘go bang’, and has been learning to ‘go through’ someone’s legs, ‘go back’, ‘go round’ someone’s legs, and to shut a ‘door’ with his nose or paw."

Django has also done some clicker training and whistle training and responds well to both.

If you think you could give him a loving home and would like to meet him, please contact Geraldine on 01886 822083.
