CHRISTIANS will gather at Worcester Cathedral as part of a gathering to study the Bible in a new way.

Attendees are encouraged to pray, study and eat together at the Big Bible Study 2014 on Saturday, September 27 at 10am.

Dr Kathy Galloway, director of Christian Aid Scotland, will lead the event.

She is an ordained minister in the Church of Scotland and known for her campaigning in areas of justice and peace.

Dr Galloway is an acclaimed theologian and writer of liturgy, songs and poetry.

Canon Dr Alvyn Pettersen from the cathedral encouraged people to take up the chance to have a fresh look at scripture.

He said: "Dr Kathy Galloway will bring challenge and insight, and a different approach to how Christians read, study and learn from the Bible.

"We are excited that she is joining us this year.”

After participants have prayed and studied the Bible together, there will be a meal at 1pm.

A marketplace of Christian resources will be in the cathedral cloisters.

Bookings can be made online at www.cofe-worcester.org.uk or www.Eventbrite.co.uk.
