WORCESTERSHIRE County Museum's annual harvest fair promises to be bigger and better than ever this year.

Visitors to the event, on Sunday, October 5, can watch traditional cider-making demonstrations and will have the chance to witness heavy horses working and meet them up close, or take a ride on a donkey.

Children can get hands on with craft activities as well as practicing their archery skills, or playing musical instruments.

Other activities include dancing, crafts, stalls, and a selection of games.

The fair runs from 11am to 5pm.

Pippa Ashmore, museum events officer, said: “Harvest fair day is always a fun, family day which gives visitors the chance to see cider being made in the traditional way as well as observe traditional skills and crafts.

"We are hoping visitors will get involved by bringing some apples to be added to the hopper and in return they can bring along a small bottle and take away some of the freshly squeezed juice."

Admission to the event costs £5 for adults, £2.50 for children/concessions and £13 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).
