A CHARITY for bereaved children has launched monthly drop-in sessions for families in Worcestershire.

This service will enable Winston’s Wish to help support an estimated 4,500 bereaved children in the county.

The sessions will run monthly starting on Tuesday, February 3, from 1pm to 4pm at The Horizon Centre in Midland Road, Worcester.

Gianna Daly, head of clinical services at Winston’s Wish, said: “As a well-established and specialist child bereavement charity within a neighbouring county, Winston’s Wish has been looking to develop its current services in order to meet the needs of the bereaved children and their families within the Worcestershire area.

“With this new drop-in we can support even more bereaved children and their families, enabling them to face the future with confidence and hope."

The sessions will provide a “welcoming and relaxed environment” according to the charity and are open to anyone keen to find out more about the group’s services.
