A CLUB for young people in Worcester has received a £300 cash boost.
Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club was handed the donation from the Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund.
The club, which was formed in 1976, is now a self-supporting, independent, charitable organisation that supports local charities and schools to help young disadvantaged individuals in the Worcester and surrounding areas who may be at risk.
Development manager Phil Weston said: "The leisure club is currently supporting the local dance school, Harlequin Stage School.
"They have just been chosen to compete in the Dance World Finals in Bucharest, Romania this June.
"A lot of our members attend Harlequin Stage School so we are doing our part to raise funds to enable each child to participate in this event.
"This donation means that we can now send more young people to Romania."
Galaxy Hot Chocolate is looking to help small, local community groups and charities across the UK and Ireland by donating cash awards to support people and projects.
