DROITWICH'S MP has gone back to school with a visit to RGS The Grange.

Nigel Huddleston spent time in forest school and enjoyed history and IT lessons during a visit to the Grange Lane school which is at the edge of his Mid Worcestershire constituency.

The school invited Mr Huddleston to see firsthand its role in the Network of Excellence for computing and computing science education.

He had lunch with the senior leadership team and a tour of the school and grounds.

He spent time with reception class as well as a year 5 class.

He also got involved with a C and IT lesson working on algorithms and using beebots to programme movement.

Mr Huddleston said: “I really enjoyed my visit to RGS The Grange and was impressed by the facilities, the behaviour of the children and the calibre of teaching.

"I was especially impressed by the incredibly engaging and creative IT session I attended.”

Gareth Hughes, headmaster of RGS The Grange said:" I am extremely proud of the achievements of this school and it was a pleasure to share our ongoing excellence with Mr Huddleston.

"Being new to our constituency we felt it was important to ensure he knows what is going on here."
