The Worcester Anglo-Hellenic Club returned from the long summer break to a film The Girl In Black. The film was shot in 1956 in black and white using the only one camera, but the dramatic effect was most moving. Michael Cacoyannis did a marvellous job.
The raffle was won by David Britton and the projectionist was John Bosworth.
The next meeting is on October 25 when John Gatfield will talk on Rembetika, that music of the underworld that sums up Athens in the 50s. The meeting will take place at 7.30pm for 8pm at Worcester Golf and Country Club on Bransford Road.
Members and guests please note that the Christmas dinner will take place at the Quay restaurant on December 2.
Guests are always welcome, and anyone wanting further information can phone David Leggott on 01905 21886 or e-mail DLeggott@btinternet.com DAVID LEGGOTT
