WELL, after a delayed start due to the bad weather, we kicked off with our competition number 4, which was judged by Dave Johnston EFIAP/p.
The members with perfect scores were: colour prints, gold section – Martin Addison; silver section – Phil Cooling; mono prints – Phil Cooling; projected images – Roger Plant.
This was followed by a practical evening with the emphasis on practical still life and close up photography. This was an opportunity for members to use their own macro equipment on various abstract ideas and textured/reflective objects, such as flowers in carbonated water/ food dyes in water. Great fun.
Membership is running at an alltime high and we have had visitors from Australia and Spain, who were also seeing relations in Worcester.
At the end of the month we had a number of club members demonstrating how they had started with an image and then with various changes, adjustments, additions and transformations could change the original image to interesting variations. The presentations entitled “Variations Upon A Theme” and subsequent discussions gave us all food for thought in our own work.
