OUR January meetings are usually occasions of fellowship with the accent on food and fun and this year’s opener was hilarious in the extreme.

A delicious fish and chip supper elegantly served in Wychbold church set the tone and we were soon into the entertainment.

The troupe of players acted with almost professional assurance an imaginary episode set in a residential care facility against a backdrop of spare walking frames, sticks, spectacles, dentures, hearing aids and bathroom furniture. They received a deserved ovation, but were advised from the chair not to make themselves too noticeable on their way home as they were all intending to stay in costume of pyjamas, nighties, dressing gowns and hair in curlers!

On Monday, March 15, there will be an open meeting at 7.30pm in Wychbold church. Rosie Moss will talk on “Morocco”. Do come and join us. Visitors most welcome.
