AN extraordinary general meeting took place on February 9.

The chairman, Ruth Bottomly, gave a comprehensive review of the club’s financial problems and lack of nominees for office, to the subdued members present.

Following considerable discussion, with diverse views and ideas from members – all of whom wished the club to continue – a number came forward willing to serve on the committee, which was most welcome.

Members then enjoyed light refreshments, followed by a raffle and agreed to a small levy to re-start the club in a financially sound position.

Wendy Berrows thanked Ruth, as chairman, for all her hard work and generosity to the club and presented her with a floral arrangement.

Members left the meeting in a positive mood, looking forward to our next meeting today, March 9, at 7.30pm in Wychbold Community Hall. The demonstrator is Ann Price.

Visitors most welcome.
