THE Wednesday Club held their March meeting and 44 members attended.

One minute’s silence was held in memory of member Kathleen Jennings, who has passed away.

Good wishes for a speedy recovery were sent to Shirley Keen who has been in hospital.

The speaker for the afternoon was Rosemary Prossor, who gave a very interesting talk on her life from growing up on a farm to joining the police force.

Sylvia Matthews sold the raffle tickets, while Anne Innes took names and collected the money for those wishing to go on the next trip to the Three Springs garden centre, then onto Dymock for lunch on March 28.

Mrs Partl, Mrs Harris and Mrs Beasley supplied the cakes for tea, the raffle was drawn and teas were served by Sylvia Matthews and helpers.
