THE April meeting of the Greek interest club welcomed Les Roberts for the second part of his presentation on the Greek War of Independence.
The speaker gave a fascinating illustrated account of the various Greek factions fighting against the Turks in the 1820s, where battles and sieges were bloody and atrocities were commited.
Mr Roberts was thanked for his most comprehensive and interesting presentation.
The raffle was won by Leigh Canam. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 31, at Worcester Golf and Country Club, Bransford Road, Worcester.
