THIS year's Watt Fest celebrations were a shining success as people came together to mark Earth Hour.

Young volunteers from Roots Foundation organised the event at Angel Centre, Angel Place to raise awareness of energy consumption and creating a sustainability.

Almost 250 people attended the event to see over 30 performers and eight exhibitors making it their biggest event ever.

Tash Giaquinto, project manager, said: "Our thanks go out to the performers, which ranged from the acoustic set of Polly Edwards to the vibrant dancers from DanceFest.

"The event was then finished off by a performance and workshop by Drum Love which left the night and everyone there on a real high."
