PEOPLE are being reminded to feed the swans on the river Severn as temperatures are set to dip.
The number of people feeding the birds falls in the winter months leaving the swans hungry.
Marilyn McCarthy, who runs the Swan Food Project, said: "Most people do not realise that the river does not have much natural food for them.
"It would be great if more people would feed them.
"If people are feeding bread then brown or seeded breads are best."
Swan Food Project pellets can be bought from Browns on South Quay, the Cathedral, Jandco at Diglis Basin, and Birch Hill Dog Rescue.
