Calling all participants of this year's Creepy House Summer Reading Challenge!

Bring your duplicate Mungler cards and swap to boost your collection.

Creepy House Munglers Card Swap Shop will be taking place on Thursday, August 22 between 10:30-11:30am at Stourport Library and is a free event for all children aged four to eleven.

Children can bring along duplicate cards to swap with other collectors, and will have a chance to vote for their favourite Mungler in the Mungler election. Colouring and activity sheets will also be available.

Libeary manager Maureen Hobbs said: "A spooky spine-tingling adventure awaits children as the 'Creepy House' Summer Reading Challenge continues."

Munglers are characters created by children's author Guy Bass. These little monsters can be compared on strength, size, speed, smell and scariness, and have become a popular favourite with children since their creation in 2010.

This event is part of the Summer Reading Challenge which is taking place over the school summer holidays in July and August. It is the biggest national reading initiative and is run by nearly every public library in the UK.

The challenge is for the children, aged four to 11, and it is simple: to read six or more library books over the summer. The theme for the 2013 challenge is Creepy House.
