THE Droitwich branch of Specsavers is on the lookout for good causes to throw its support behind for the next 12 months.
The opticians is inviting local charities, sports teams, community groups, individuals and schools to nominate themselves for support as part of its annual fundraising efforts.
The store is hoping to raise as much as £500 for the selected good cause, but it has to choose one before its deadline of Friday, May 16.
Emma Singh, store director at Specsavers in Droitwich, said: “This is a great opportunity to give something back to the local community. There are so many wonderful causes out there, hopefully the nomination activity will make the decision fairer and easier.
“We’d like to encourage people to nominate a cause they feel deserves our support. It could be for an individual who needs treatment for an illness or a local nursery group which would like to renovate its playground. If you know of a cause we’d be very grateful to hear from you.”
Tying in with the store’s upcoming seventh birthday, to nominate themselves, groups or individuals need to think of seven reasons why they should receive support, and then post them, or hand them in to the Specsavers store in St Andrews Square before May 16.
