A CAR boot sale at Droitwich Spa High School due to be held this weekend, has been cancelled due to concerns over the risk of extreme weather.
The car boot sale, which organisers were hoping might become an annual fixture in the town, was cancelled after advice from Worcestershire County Council.
The county experienced a lengthy lightning storm overnight on Thursday, July 17, and Droitwich High's head decided to postpone the event because of the extreme forecast for this weeekend.
The school is hoping to reorganise the car boot sale for later on in the summer.
