IT was lights, camera, action at Droitwich Spa Marina as it enjoyed the limelight for its renovation work.
Nick Parkes, the marina's director, was interviewed throughout the morning by BBC One's Breakfast show reporter John Maguire about the renovation of the canals.
Also interviewed were Vince Moran, Canals and Rivers Trust and Vaughan Welch, Inland Waterways Association, and several moorers.
The Droitwich Canal received National Lottery funding which enabled the Mid Worcestershire Ring to be completed providing the only 21 mile circular cruising route in Europe.
It then provided the opportunity for the development of the 238-berth Droitwich Spa Marina which opened in March 2012.
Three years ago, Droitwich Spa Marina appeared on BBC One's Countryfile when the first sod was dug signalling the start of the major development.
