OVER the Summer holidays, children will be able to have a go at different activities with a number of free workshops running at Hobbycraft in Wychbold between 11am and 3pm.

Children and their families will be able to have a go at making their own puppets at workshops on Wednesday, July 30, Wednesday, August 13, and Wednesday August 27, and budding artists can try out a different kind of canvas with workshops on face painting taking place on Saturday, August 16, Saturday, August 23, and Saturday, August 30.

Hobbycraft Droitwich's store manager, Neil Handford, said: “The summer holidays are an ideal time to for children to try their hand at a new hobby or craft. We’ve loads going on in store all summer, and our dedicated Hobbycraft staff will be on hand every day to make our kids’ workshops stimulating for all the family. What’s more, they’re all completely free.”

The Wychbold craft store is also taking part in a challenge with TV presenter Kirstie Allsop and Mollie Makes to create the longest string of pom-poms, and people are invited to come in and help to make it a record by making a pom-pom and adding it to the store’s collection box.

All of the pom-poms will be displayed at the Handmade Fair in September for an official Guinness World Record judgement.
