A PET rabbit belonging to a former Dodderhill school pupil has made a 1,500 mile journey to raise money for a muscle weakness charity.

Henry the rabbit originally belonged to former Droitwich resident Hazel Plush, but when she decided to work abroad for a while, he made an epic journey to stay with her parents John and Vonya Plush in Malaga in Spain.

The two who are also former Droitwich residents, have been affectionately labelled Grand-Rab and Bun-Nanna for the duration of Henry’s stay.

However now Henry has made his return journey back to the UK, and Miss Plush has decided to make it a charity trek, so that as Henry travels via Madrid and Paris and through the Channel Tunnel he has been raising money for the charity Myaware.

The charity, which is based in the Midlands raises awareness of the rare debilitating muscle weakness Myasthenia, providing support to thousands of families living with the condition in the UK, as well as funding research into the incurable disease.

To sponsor Henry on his journey, visit justgiving.com/henry-rabbit or text HNRY14 and the amount you want to donate to 70070.
