CURRENT and previous members of Droitwich Spa Judo Club are being invited to come along to Westalnds Community Centre and join in with the celebrations as the club marks 40 years in operation.
The 40th birthday events will be starting on Saturday, September 20 with a get together in the community hall at 12noon where members old and new are invited to come and meet up.
The club was founded in 1974 by two brothers from Witton, and is now run by Thomas Ewins who acts as the regional coach in the area, and is also a third Dan black belt.
Mr Ewins said: “We hope to see people reminiscing and thinking about when they were part of the club, if they want they can grab a Gi (jacket) and give it a go.”
Anyone is invited to attend the birthday celebrations and refreshments and food will be available.
