A DROITWICH author is using her literary skills to take part in a creative tribute to support men taking part in Movember.

Sheryl Browne, who recently had her novel ‘The Edge of Sanity’ published, was invited to take part in a new anthology ‘Let’s Hear it for the Boys’ as a tribute to the men of Movember.

The book is being published by Thornberry Publishing with all proceeds going toward the Movember drive towards men’s health awareness.

Ms Browne said: “As my partner was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and is receiving excellent care via the Worcester Royal, this is something that's close to my heart. Surprisingly, having mentioned the anthology to him, he is now more willing to share something he wasn't really comfortable sharing, in hopes of encouraging men to seek help sooner if they are suffering symptoms.”

The anthology features nine short stories by women celebrating the men in their lives, and the effect they have on the women’s hearts, minds and bodies, as well as the difference they make to the world.

The book is available to buy in Kindle format priced at 99p from November 1.
