THOSE interested in the roles Droitwich men and women played during the First World War, might enjoy a talk by town librarian James Robertson on the ‘Droitwich Flyers’.
The talk will share some of the research that’s been done into the lives of Droitwich members of the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Naval Air Service and Royal Air Force Pilots during the conflict from 1914 to 1918.
The event is taking place on Saturday, March 14, from 2pm in the gallery of Droitwich Library, and tickets are £1.50, which includes refreshments.
Research for the project has been funded by the First World War Centenary Fund, Worcestershire World War 100 and the Heritage Lottery. For more information on the ‘Droitwich Flyers’ talk to a member of the library staff, or visit the ‘Droitwich Flyers’ display in the library’s local history area on the first floor.
