THE Friends of Droitwich Spa (FODSL) will be running a stall at this weekend’s St Richard Festival in Droitwich to raise money for the community outdoor saltwater bathing facility.
The Friends recently organised a fashion show at M&Co in the St Andrews Shopping Centre, raising just over £1,000, and the money is being used, along with other funds, to buy £2,000 worth of lido tickets for a tombola for the festival.
Suzi Wood, chairman of FODSL, said: “Come along and play our tombola with a chance to win free lido tickets. Three tries for £1 and any 0 or 5 wins a lido ticket.
“We want people to use the lido and believe this is a good way to introduce people to our wonderful lido.”
A number of the tickets have also been set aside to give away to local charities and schools in the town.
The Friends of Droitwich Spa Lido will also be organising a jumble sale at the Old Library in Droitwich on Friday, May 29. Anyone wishing to donate items should bring them to the library before 2.50pm on Friday.
