NOMINATIONS are being sought for three local councillor roles which have become vacant since the elections in May.
The first is for a position on North Claines Parish Council, where winning candidate Nigel Addison failed to sign the declaration of acceptance of office before the formal deadline, and as such, the council were forced to open his place back up to new candidates.
The other position, for the Droitwich East ward at Wychavon District Council, was previously held by Councillor Glenise Noyes, who passed away suddenly at the end of May.
Councillor Noyes also held a position on Droitwich Town Council which is yet to be opened.
Both positions will remain open to nominations until 4pm on Friday, July 3, when if more than one nomination has been received, and election will be organised on Thursday, July 30.
Anyone interested in standing as a candidate for either position, should download the relevant nomination form from wychavon.gov.uk/current-elections, write to elections@wychavon.gov.uk or call 01386 565162. Nomination forms must be completed and returned before the deadline on July 3.
