Lloyd’s Bank in Droitwich is organising a children’s charity fun day next week to raise money for Children in Need.

Staff from the bank in Victoria Square have been encouraging people to take part from neighbouring shops as well as the library, heritage centre, lido, and fire station, all of whom have helped to spread the word with posters and flyers.

The fun day is taking place on Tuesday, August 18 from 10am when there will be a Shetland pony called Honey on hand to have photos taken with children, as well as Pudsey Bear.

Firefighters from Droitwich Fire Station are bringing a fire engine along, and Mayor Graham Beale will be dropping in at 11am.

There will also be various competitions including skipping, ball bouncing, skittles, and colouring-in competition for different age groups along with a children’s lucky dip, face painting, tattoos, and there will be a homemade cake stall for the grown-up's and children to enjoy.

Dorothy Cook from the branch, said: “The cake stall is becoming quite famous amongst our customers and the last stall made £250, these are all baked by the staff (we do try not to poison our customers). Most of the activities and stalls will be run by the children of staff members, so it really is by the children for the children.”
