THERE was an impressive turn out to the Animals R Magic event held in Hanbury in July.

Crowds descended on the event at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury Road on July 19.

It was the fourth year the popular craft centre had held the event raising money for the Cinnamon Trust, which helps elderly and terminally ill people look after their pets.

Animal charities were invited to attend, with some bringing animals along.

There was a fun dog show with Mid Western Gun Dog Society and Dogs R Us Agility Club performing demonstrations.

The Highgate Tidbury Flyball Team brought some excitement to the proceedings with their display of speed and accuracy retrieving a ball over jumps.

Luke Phelan’s falcons and the owls from Midlands Bird of Prey Rescue were on view.

Two chickens came with Fresh Start for Hens, while Severn Area Search and Rescue's dog Dyno attended with his handler Matthew Massey.

The alpaca and llama at the show proved popular for a photo shoot, while some lucky visitors were even able to take them for a walk around the field.

Organiser Janet Morgan said she was delighted with the turnout, with the day being an outstanding success for the Cinnamon Trust but also the other charities that took part.

She added that she wanted to thank everyone who supported the event, especially Cinnamon Trust volunteers, hosts Amanda and Malcolm Sunter, and Jinney Ring staff.

Overall £4,900 was raised for The Cinnamon Trust.
