THE Friends of Droitwich Spa Lido organisation is holding an evening of jazz music this November to raise money for the community pool.

The Jazz Evening is taking place on November 13 at the Sacred Heart Hall, and will feature the Tom Hill Jazz Patrol with vocalist Carole Westwood.

The band also features Al Gurr on piano, and Carl Hemmingsley on drums, with Droitwich’s own Californian bassist Tom Hill leading a pro-rhythm section with an evening of jazz standards, and swinging blues.

Tickets for the concert will be on sale from the Friends’ stall during Salt Day on September 12.

There will also be a jumble sale at the Old Library on Friday, September 4. People are asked to bring any good quality jumble to the building anytime from 12.30-1pm before the sale opens.

Friends’ chairman Suzi Wood, said: “Please do support our events and help our wonderful Lido.”
