Today is the last chance for people to show their support for a campaign which has helped change lives in Africa.

Our sister paper The Stourbridge News's Well of Life appeal raised more than £12,000 for people in the Gambian village of Sintet.

The cash was used to create a solar powered clean water system to replace an open well following the death of an eight-year-old boy after he fell into it.

The appeal, which was run in conjunction with Ridgewood Primary school in Wollaston, Stourbridge, is in the running for the Society of Editors Making a Difference award and the public vote closes at 5pm today (Wednesday).
