LANDLORDS are invited to a special forum providing information on changes in the local housing sector as well as the chance to network with other landlords.

The event is being held on Monday, October 17, at Pershore Civic Centre in Queen Elizabeth Drive, and has been organised by Wychavon District Council.

The National Landlords Association, Act on Energy and the Valuation Office Agency will join the authority in providing information on everything from property standards, insulation, legislation as well as finding out more about the authority's own social lettings agency - Wychmove.

The service matches landlords with tenants who may not be able to access the private rental market ordinarily, doing so with the help of the authority.

The service's new website can be found at wychmove.co.uk.

Sarah Cook, private rented accommodation officer for Wychavon, said: “We’re hoping we can attract more landlords to this event as we think it will be highly beneficial for them.

"It’s for landlords regardless of whether they own one property or 100 and it will also be really useful for them to hear about what we offer as well as the other organisations.”

Anyone interested in attending the event, taking place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, can sign up for it by emailing privatesectorhousing@wychavon.gov.uk or call 01386 565114.
