IN the olden days a young man's passion was obviously a greater energiser.
When Doug Miles cycle shop in High Street Droitwich closed in 1973, a previous owner of the premises, Ald Charles Henry Everton, who ran it as a hardware store, recalled that he would shut up shop on a Saturday night and cycle 63 miles to Northampton to visit his fiancee.
Then cycle back again on a Monday morning to open at 8am.
Presumably slightly slower.
