AN EU referendum Q&A is taking place in Worcestershire, as a former Labour Home Secretary teams up with a current Conservative minister to take questions.

Harriett Baldwin, who represents West Worcestershire, is working alongside Labour's Jacqui Smith in backing Remain.

Now the duo are hosting a question and answer session at The Cube in Malvern, which will take place on Tuesday, June 21 - less than 48 hours before polling day.

Mrs Baldwin, a Tory minister in The Treasury, said she was concerned about the polls suggestions millions of people are still undecided.

"Over the course of the last few weeks I have taken part in a number of debates on the EU referendum, but they are being attended by people who have made up their mind," she said.

"I am concerned that some people are still undecided and want information.

"As Economic Secretary and former Home Secretary we can shed light on two important issues – the economy and immigration.

"Please do come along if there are still issues you are unclear about which are key to making your decision on June 23rd."

It will get underway from 7pm and be chaired by retired Professor Evelyn Ellis, an expert on the EU.

Mrs Smith was Britain's first ever female Home Secretary and a big hitter under Gordon Brown's old Labour Government.

She now lives in Malvern and was only the third woman to hold one of the great offices of state, after former premier Margaret Thatcher and ex-Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett.
