Denim is back

This year Denim is making a return with lots of different varieties of jeans. As you may have noticed a lot of the 70's fashion is making a come back too.

Skinny jeans made a comeback last year and are still at the height of fashion. This summer they are still a must have item. From drainpipe to skinny flare there are so many different varieties for so many different looks this summer. For some out of the ordinary skinny jeans you can find many different varieties of patterns in Blue Banana.

Another type of jeans that is in fashion this year is flares. Flares first became popular in the 60's and 70's with both sexes. Flares were related to the hippy movement. Other types of flares included the bell-bottoms, which first appeared in sailor's uniforms. John Travolta made flares very popular with the disco movement when he famously danced in them on Saturday night Fever. After that the flare thrived and many different varieties were created to what it is today.

Boy fit jeans are very loose fitting trousers that are based on the shape of a men's trousers but adapted to fit a women. These give a very casual look for the summer. Boy fit jeans fit very loosely and are very baggy so they suit most figures.

Bootleg jeans are a very popular style over the last few years. They come in a range of different designs with lots of different shaped pockets and designs.

There are more than just jeans in denim making a come back, denim skirts and waistcoats are also making a return.

Denim skirts come in many different shapes and sizes. From long to short and pleats to gathers there are so many different types of skirt so we are going to choose just the one which is the denim mini skirt. The mini skirt is very popular in the summer and often teamed with tank tops to give a casual, cool look.

Denim jackets and waistcoats are making a comeback. With stone wash and new styles it's like they've never been gone. Lots of different styles from loose fitting to close fitting are all coming back.
