SIR –David Wallis (“Seal poses no threat to the ecosystem”, Worcester News, January 10) is absolutely right that Keith the seal poses no greater threat to the ecosystem than the anglers who want to get rid of her.
In addition, humans do not need to eat fish (or any other animal product) to survive, whereas seals do, so Keith is far more entitled to the fish in the Severn than the anglers are.
Strange that some people are so determined to interfere with the life of one animal, just so they can stick hooks through the mouths of others!
