Sir,
We refer to the Green Party Cllr. Neil Laurenson’s letter (Worcester News April 17) in which he says he did not vote for a council tax rise in the Full Council meeting on 25th. February.
The Conservatives put up an amendment to freeze the Council Tax for 2014/15 and Cllr. Laurenson voted against this. Such is on record as there was a named vote which appears in the minutes (pages 4 – 5).
In addition it was Cllr. Laurenson’s vote on 14th. May 2013 that allowed the Labour Party to take control of the City Council. This has resulted in a City Council Tax rise, increases in car park charges and a lack of will to save £500,000 to avoid cuts.

Conservative Party Candidate, Battenhall Ward.
City Councillor, Battenhall Ward and
Chairman, Worcester Conservative Association.
