Sir - I am always interested to read the quaint, and sometimes colourful,
language used in the 'nostalgia' page on Saturdays. Today (14 July) I was amused to see that quaint language is alive
and kicking as evidenced by the short story on page three: "Firefighters had to free a driver who was trapped
after the lorry it were driving overturned."
