Sir - While driving through Pershore last week I couldn't help but admire their floral displays of hanging baskets and tubs.
Living in Worcester this also made me feel quite embarrassed, as our city is once more bereft of such splendour.
I know budgets are tight and the tea and biscuit fund at the Council is probably in decline.
So here is a suggestion, why aren't we given the option of making a donation or asked if we'd like to increase our Council Tax payments to fund some floral displays?
I'm sure that many residents would surprise the Council by volunteering to make a difference to our fairly barren cityscape?
