Sir - Living near to Gheluvelt Park I take my dog for a walk through it on a daily basis.
This last couple of weeks with the weather being so glorious it has been lovely to see the park being so well used but what a shame that every day there is so much rubbish left lying around.
There are plenty of rubbish bins in the park but apparently these are either totally ignored or need to be of a much larger size so that people can see them.
I was under the impression that it was an offence to drop litter but apparently this law does not apply in the park.
We dog owners are constantly reminded that it is an offence not to clean up after our dogs but there doesn't seem to be any reminders about littering.
It seems such a shame to turn such a beautiful place into such an unsightly rubbish tip, unfortunately as usual the minority are spoiling it for the majority .
