Sir - I often read of domestic refuse problems elsewhere, but now it is on my own doorstep I fully realise the problem.

Here at Homenash House, Worcester, we have had no manager since February, apart from a relief for 2 half days and one full day a week. Although he is exceptionally good, once one has allowed for 3 weeks annual holiday, bank holiday, training days etc., one has not seen much of him.

Thus we residents are inconvenienced to the hilt by refuse not being collected on schedule, often 3 weeks late. Consequently the bins are filled well past overflowing at times and nobody yet has been able to tell us why. The area manager doesn’t appear to bother as he has failed to reply to my email sent 9th July.

We call it “Happy Homenash” as in the lounge the only subject of conversation seems to be “RUBBISH”. It just isn’t good enough for 65 flats with several residents in their 90’s not to mention one of 101.
