Sir - I suppose we should not be totally surprised that our part time mayor would have no time for the opinions of local people voiced via the press here, in view of his historical and well documented hatred of said press.

We should not be surprised either I suppose, that a former right wing tory, who believed in public flogging for rapists and muggers, and birching in schools, now finds it easy to side with the Conservatives locally, after formerly being a Labour member, then purporting to be an independent too! Im sure the Lib Dems are waiting with baited breath, and a nervous twitch.

But how can this man be called mayor at all, when he sends his deputy to an array of functions instead, including the opening of a garden at Gorse Hill Primary School (which I'm sure the little children were very proud of)?

That's without the Three Choirs Festival, where we are expected to be grateful he condescended to sit in the posh seats at some point, followed by his snubbing of exchange students, who must have been very glad of his warm welcome after travelling so far.

It's becoming clearer by the day that this man gives a very good impression of not giving two hoots about the role of Mayor of Worcester sadly, and is just going through the motions- badly and without any thought for us the locals, and how his antics make us look.

But I would expect better from Messrs Gerraghty and Knight to be honest. They are supporting this farce. Why?

Anyone would think they needed his vote! Naah...couldn't be surely...

This joke needs to stop now. Its beyond the pale, and regardless of your political leanings shows a staggering lack of morals and class. Grubby manouvering involving a so-called mayor who apparently doesn't even seem interested.
