Sir -

Despite developers continually "chipping away" we still have a fairly pleasant and green city at the moment.

But schemes such as the newly proposed shopping centre at Worcester Woods surely only bring short term benefits but long term problems?

With 11 hectares of land in question it will not be known by this name any longer as yet more retail greed invades while our existing city centre struggles to survive?

The roads infrastructure will also struggle with a 'mini Cribbs Causeway' and will only add to the current daily gridlock.
