SIR, A shopping centre on acres of green fields between the hospital and county hall at Worcester Woods is a travesty of good reasoning should this be given the blessing of Worcester Council to proceed. Worcester Wild Life are doing good work to encourage natural habitats for wild life, a 240,000 shopping centre plus access roads and everything development requires is not helping to produce a natural environment round the city which most people want when walking round about Worcester Woods. Should this development get a green light to proceed might hedges be pulled out and trees removed to make a car park. Taking into consideration what will be lost is the need sufficient to compensate for the loss. Development is taking place at Cathedral Plaza and Newtown Road does Worcester need yet another out of town shopping centre?
