Sir - On behalf of Pershore Royal Naval Association, I would like to offer our congratulations and sincere thanks to our comrades at Pershore & District Branch Royal British Legion for the tremendous Poppy Concert that they put on at Number 8 on Saturday.
All of our members agree that it was absolutely magnificent evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves singing along and waving our flags.
The Band of the West Midlands Fire Service and their Corps of Drums were fantastic, as were Pershore Town Choir.
The poetry reading by Rev Mark Jennings with Fraser Harley was especially poignant and special tribute must be paid to 15 year old Bethany Ireland who read her winning Remembrance poem once again so beautifully. Events like these take a lot of hard work to organise and we'd like those involved to know how very much we appreciate their efforts.

Chairman - Pershore & District Royal Naval Association
