Sir - When is the ford (Walcot Ford, Drakes Broughton) going to be replaced by a bridge. I wrote to the county council after another person became stuck and that was as well as the man being killed a few years before.
The reply was adequate signage was in place, I assume that to have always been the case but it hasn't stopped the problem of the road being impassable o people thinking they can get through then getting stuck or worse.
The road only fords a brook so a bridge wouldn't need to be very big and it would mean the road remains open when the brook is flooded.
Eckington is another place where flooding causes a road closure, money would be better spent building a higher road and new bridge at Eckington than dualling the southern link and leaving the bottleneck roundabouts at the Ketch and Powick.
