Sir - I have watched with interest the construction of the new Sainsbury store in Barbourne Worcester. I agreed with the plans originally, with the exception of the car park which I felt would be a hazard to an already congested junction and today my fears were already being confirmed even before the shop is open.
The car park is at present filled with builders’ vehicles and as I passed ( not even in the rush hour I hasten to add) a van was being backed into the road with the assistance of a workman.
How will the ordinary members of the public negotiate this obstacle? Will Sainsbury provide a warden who would presumably not be qualified to direct traffic anyway?
I watch with interest as the planning department always maintained that traffic problems would not be any worse than hitherto.
