DEFENDING THE JOB: Police and crime Commissioner Bill Longmore and his deputy Barry Sheldon.
Sir - The Police and Crime Commissioner doesn't seem to realise that a commission gives him responsibility. The buck stops with him.
According to the Home Office:
"The PCC answers to the public on the delivery and performance of the police service in their area".
So, what better place to do this than in front of the elected representatives of the people who live in the area.
Mr Longmore should remember that we pay for him to be in charge of the Chief Constable. That's 100% clear.
