Sir - I read with interest your coverage of the Worcester City/Perdiswell saga in today's Worcester News. (20/11/14)
As a district councillor in an adjoining area ( Malvern Hills) I would like to make the following points.
I have known Simon Geraghty from my time at County Hall and all that he has done as far as this issue is concerned is to ensure that he does not fall foul of the code of conduct regarding predetermination of any upcoming planning application, no more no less. It might be a good idea if other members of Worcester City Council followed his lead.
This application should not become a party political football as this would cheapen the debate and Worcester deserves better than that.
To conclude as I am not constricted by being a member of the city council I fully support this proposal.
The fact that this borders on the old park and ride site knocks the parking issue into touch.
Remember that what is proposed is very modest, it's not another OLD TRAFFORD.
